Unemployment rate in Malaysia rose to 3.0% in July 2013

The labor market showed positive growth in July 2013 with the increase in the working population of 30,400 people (0.2%) to 13.5 million people. However, there are a total of 421.200 inhabitants in the number of unemployed increased from 392.700 people in the previous month.

Further, the unemployment rate is found to increase slightly by 0.2 percentage point to 3.0 percent in July 2013. When compared with the record in July 2013, found to lower the unemployment rate by 0.1 percentage points from 3.1 percent.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate also increased to 0.3 per cent recorded in the previous month to 3.0 percent in July 2013.
